Chedwich Antiques - a92 - An Extremely Comfortable Antique Italian Gilded and Upholstered Sofa, circa 1930

SOLD - This is probably one of the most comfortable sofas I have ever sat on. It is an antique Italian gilded and upholstered sofa from Brianza (Lombardia) in Northern Italy from around 1930. It has a deep seat with good cushioning and the seat back is reclined at just the right angle which I think is the secret to it's comfort. It is also extremely decorative in nature with the gilded frame (probably beech wood) and jazzy, funky fabric. The overall condition of the sofa is excellent, the frame is good and solid and the upholstery is in great condition with no rips or tears.
