Chedwich Antiques - a75 - A Stunning and Unique Original Antique Italian 10 Piece Bedroom Suite, circa 1880

This is a really amazing, stunning and absolutely unique original antique Italian 10 piece bedroom suite, circa 1880 from Northern Italy. It consists or a large double bed (takes a 6 feet 6 wide mattress) which can be separated to make two single beds, a pair of bedsides cabinets with marble tops, 1 wardrobe, a pair of bedroom chairs, 1 tall closet with drawers and two marble topped chests of drawers, one with and over mirror which was added at a later date but compliments the suite perfectly. The entire suite retains it's original paint and gilt work which has worn and cracked over time to give that nice aged look and feel. We do not know an awful lot about the history of the suite, just that it was purpose made for a large country house in Northern Italy in the late 19th century. Some minor restoration work has recently been completed and the overall condition of the suite is excellent.
