a1 - Lovely Upholstered Demi Corbeille Antique French Double bed
This is a lovely French double size demi corbeille (it has a curved footboard) and comes complete with a slatted base (pictured) or we can provide a solid upholstered base if you prefer. We can also provide a fitted mattress to if required.
The fabric is a deep champagne sateen cotton with a devore chenille figured velvet in differing hues and tones of blue.
The frame has the traditional cream craqueler finish with an additional wash of blue over it.
There are some lovely carvings to the frame of this bed, more so probably than most similar style beds.
The bed has a heavy and solid feel and uses traditional internal fillings which are natural rather than man made as in later copies of beds this style.
